Shootin' trees is part and parcel of grouse hunting, especially in PA. I've hunted grouse in quite a few states and PA is generally the most difficult cover to shoot in, by far. If you are at all like me, heaven forbid, you will remember this shot long after the successful shots. It is an important part of the game, grouse hunting.

Looks like the dog did his part. Grouse hunting is all about the dog work, for grouse are the toughest birds for a dog to handle well. An occasional bird in the bag taken with a Parker following good dog work is, well, it just doesn't get any better. A good dog, a good gun, and the king of game birds.
