Thanks also for the link. I will have a look but I really should not. Trouble with "window shopping" is every once in a while you can't resist and you know you really don't need another and so does the long suffering better half.

Jack ... There's quite a few Parkers with serial numbers lower than 247 kicking around out there ... I own #71, #90, #158, #210, #219, and just made a deal for #238 about an hour ago ... And I'm always on the lookout for other Parkers with two and three digit serial numbers ... I also own 2 Parker's Snow Civil War era muskets, 2 Triplett & Scott, Kentucky Militia, Civil War era carbines, and Meriden Manufacturing T-Latch shotgun #666, all of which predate the Charles Parker Maker and Parker Brothers Makers shotguns.
