I have two also and though they were made after the purchase, they were made in Meriden. If anything they have nicer wood for the grade than the pre-purchase guns. I think Remigton was trying to prove up on the Parker name by putting showy wood on V grades, etc. I wouldn't hesitate at all and many of those guns, being newer, are in higher condition as well.
