My friend Tubby has that breed. I am pretty mean to him. I tell him "You have to put a collar on your dog so that when he goes on point you can tell his head from his a$$." And "Those dogs are what you get when you cross a poodle with a goat" and when we pass a pasture full of goats I say "Oh look! a Drat Haar kennel!"
I don't mean to insult Drat Haar / German Wirehair owners here. Just having fun in the same sense of the "Ugly Dog" company. They are fine bird dogs and companions. And besides you should hear what Tubby says about my dogs.
