Chris,
Be patient!! The unhooking slide is sticking. The plunger which purtrudes from the end of the receiver is probably in the retracted position. Use CRP on the plunger and let it soak for a few days. The oil will seep into the lower portion of the receiver where the slide is located and begin to losen the gunk. You can hasten the process by puting oil inside the lower portion of the receiver in the area of the slide ( be sure to tip the gun so oil does not run to the stock).
I have had this problem with a number of closet guns and have solved all problems without disassembly.
