most of time it is not the barrels but the wood that can't take the pounding. i am not saying these are heavy loads, unless they are 1 1/2 ozs. at 1250. the barrels would take it but wood would take a pounding.
i keep my loads at 1100 fps for 1 1/8th and under and my 1 1/4 oz bismuth duck / goose loads at 1150 or so scott
