Ask Bill Mullins. He writes the Parker section.

Parker values are highly condition dependent. Many sellers overstate condition. Like it or not, case colors are a key indicator of condition. There is also a popular belief that any Parker is rare and people see some selling for high prices and put hopeful high prices on their guns. There can be a big difference and and a long time for those sellers between asking and getting.
