I just would like to bring this latest legislation to CT. pheasant hunters. Our Governor has cut the states pheasant stocking program here in Connecticut. The one thing that I would like to point out is our pheasant stocking program is self sufficient and is paid for through the sale of pheasant tags. What this means is when we purchased tags for the 2011 season this money goes into purchasing pheasants for the 2012 season. What our Governor whats to do is take our money and put it into the states General Fund. As we all know pheasants do not live wild in CT. and by cutting the stocking program it will simply wipe out this season which has been a heritage here in CT. for generations. Please contact our states Senators and Representatives and voice your opinion. We cannot let this happen.
