A PGCA letter may tell you whether the gun originally came from Shoverling Daly and Gales, as is marked on your case. An NH grade with six pound barrels is a great gun to shoot and going through a phase of popularity right now. The bad screws and damaged trigger plate are not a fatal flaw, can be repaired by a talented gunsmith, as can the wood damage. In addition, your serial number is a "palindrome", something only strange people find interesting. I have palindrome guns that I find interesting, like my Model 42 Winchester Skeet Grade #787. They are not easy to find.
