I am 100% certain every bird I missed on the skeet field and regular trap field was because I wasn't focused on the bird !
Jap Trap is another story !
I like to throw a little extra in the mix . The trap machine we use for this also has the wobble feature in it so not only does it oscillate left and right but also up and down !
That thing can throw some flat dropping birds and darn near a springing Teal .
I would say both my W&C and the Ithaca 10 are choked full or fuller in both barrels of both guns . I am quite sure the hard left or right screamers out of the trap machine that I'd sometimes be just a hair slow getting two were easily 40 yards away when I popped them .
My old Ithaca single barrel could get very decent in my hands if I shot it enough to become used to it !
But after shooting Krieghoff's for a good many years with all my patterns at 70/30 that old Ithaca that is 50/50 takes a bit to get used to again . I have to mentally remmmember that gun shoots as flat as a pancake
The old Ithaca short 10 barked my cheek a bit . First time I've had that happen in a number of years . Think I may get a slip on comb thing to raise it a bit before hunting season . Well that is if it patterns my 00 Buck loads worth a darn .
Think I'll reload all my 10 gauge hulls this weekend and maybe get some 16's with 7/8 ounce's of shot ready for my Fox AE and shoot that next week .
