As you probably know the TPS number of 381 is statistically adjusted number to account for the guns in the missing record books so it follows one would see guns not listed in the TPS 8 gauge list or in Serialization. As the banning of the 8 in 1918 virtually ended their (even then) limited production in the USA, I would suspect the number quoted is even closer than many of the estimated model variation totals. In any case, they are rare, I have owned 2 Parker 8s, a 36 #6 fT1 frame and a 36" D3 #6 DH I picked up at this year's Vintagers. The later gun went to its original owner in Glasco, NY right on the west bank of the Hudson. I imagine it must have seen its share of waterfowl on the pass over the great river.
