1887 year would suggest a Hammer gun. And Twist barrels is what was used on all lower Grade Parker hammer guns as well as all the P grade hammerless guns.
Not sure of actual production numbers of twist steel barrels, but they were by no means rare. Having them in very good condition, however usually is.
