David, I suspect you have a reinforced (one piece) forend lug, which is what a Parker should have to accomodate a beavertail forend... but it isn't entirely necessary. It depends mostly on how you support the front end of your gun in your forehand. If you keep a death grip on the beavertail forend you can expect to pull a non-reinforced forend lug off but if all you do is suppurt the barrels with it you'll likely be alright.

On the other hand, we know of Parkers with splinter forends where the non-reinforced lugs have pulled loose....
