I met Jack in 1967 and we went to many gun shows together.( too many tales to tell)
I had moved to Duluth Minn. to attend UMD and met this bear of a man with many of the same interests.
I was fortunate enough to introduce him to George Flaim, and that friendship lasted until George passed away.
We talked a lot both in Duluth, and in the many years that followed we talked on the phone.
When I last saw Jack, he was getting better, and for some reason I told him I loved him,and I will always be grateful that I did.
He was bigger than life, yet a humble man, proud of his family and his friends.
I have been blessed to have known Jack these many years, and will miss him terribly.
On the other hand I know he and George are on the other side waiting patiently with all of our beloved dogs to go smash some targets before we shoot some of Gods ruffed grouse.
How fortunate I have been to be able to calkl Jack a friend.
Over the years Jack was able to pass the business on to his son John, and all of that great knowledge will be there waiting for your visit or phone call..................Jim Thynne
