Bill, That far back might have been the first store, a little further North on Route 7. If I remember correctly, he moved down to the 'new' store about 1974-5. That store had the workshop in the basement, where I spent most of my time. That's when I met Tony G, who got his start there, in the basement, under the tutelage of Walter. Kurt, Peter Keiler, and Tony rarely came upstairs, while Gary held court with guys like Bill Ruger Sr, Gunner Anderson, my dad, Jeff Purdy, Dick Fairchild, and Emil (?, brain fart) who owned Rapidex. One of those Thursdays, not one, but two of the grade 9 guns were there. My dad liked the 16, but it was still there when we went home.
