As my son and I were talking (we were sitting in the pickup)with a landowner about property lines, the landowner asked what we do for a living. My son, who is a physician, states such. The landowner, without a pause, says "I think I have a hernia, can you look at it and tell me what I should do"?

As I watched my son graciously get out of the truck and look at this man's umbilical hernia in minus degree wind-chill, it was all I could do to keep a somewhat straight face.

This hunt will be remembered for not only the aspects of the hunt, but of of an odd request which I guess was this farmer's version of a trespass fee....may have to rename this hunt!
Good thing he is not a Proctologist.
