Aircrew, tankers and other seated personnel used shoulder holsters. I wore a shoulder holster for many years with first the S&W Mod 10 in .38 and later the Beretta M-9 in 9mm.

More aircrew in both total numbers and percentage were lost over Germany than all the Marines lost in the Pacific.

The Browning M2 and .50BMG round is a potent and effective weapon. I had the experience of firing one mounted on a HUMVEE during the Panama invasion.
