Nice patterns. I have a 28 ga RBL with 30" barrels and choked cyl/skeet. I have used it a lot over the years and it is surprising what a good load will do in an open choke. When backing up my daughter on conditioned preserve quail, I have used for years a 7/8 oz Spreadr load on the covey rise and a 3/4 oz Crackr load for finishing long range birds or cripples. Both are by Polywad and luckily I still have a decent supply. The Crackr is a load of nickel plated 5's in a fine milled buffer. They seem to simply not expand at reasonable ranges. It is a shame no one else has continued this concept. Most buffered loads are geared to large shot for waterfowl. Hard shot well protected is a good idea for open bores at longer range for upland game. Best thing is there are very few outliers, so little wounding. It's kill or miss.
