I never plan on buying anything. I bought a Jeep several weeks ago for an Upper Peninsula woods/ grouse hunting buggy so I was safe. I didn't even bring a check book

. I left two guns for sale and sold one.
Immediately I bought a Leopold Vari X III 3.5x10x40 gloss. These are hard to find and I have a new (1974 vintage) Browning Safari grade (Sako action) 243 or a Cooper Custom Classic 17 HMR to put it on. I also stumbled into a pound of Green Dot powder. I was a happy camper and content with these meager acquisitions.
However I stopped to say hello to Bob Nay at McNab firearms to introduce myself. I bought a matched pair of Stephan Grant 16's from him right after the Southern last year.
I ended up with a matched pair of Purdey Island Lock hammer guns and a GH 32 inch twenty. Not bad for not having a check book
