Picture below is another view of the wood and my barn. Yep, got room to move stuff in and out.

I've never used salamanders or "spring lizards" for bait but have used blood suckers. Especially for bullheads. They worked good and tough enough to get a couple fish on one blood sucker before you had to put another one on your hook.
