Starting with the basic info, confirm that the gun left Parker with the beavertail fore end. Check the serialization book, or, if you don't have a copy, post the SN and someone here will check. It should say code 11 (large fore end and ejectors)
Second, do the added barrels have a Remington service code number stamped on them. Remington may have altered the trip pins, i.e., maybe shortened them to get the added fore end to fit, and barrels to eject. Chances are, the two fore ends are not interchangeable, but I certainly would have tried that to rule out possibilities.
