Didn't offend me. About the only thing that does are all the new pronouns.
Unless you want to pay the additional cost of a 'Stated Value' policy, most insurance will only cover what you can document. Most times when I see these posts, the buyer obviously knows what he paid for it and what changed hands is the accepted method for value of That item. A GH on a 2 frame is perhaps one of the most common Parkers on GI, GB, or any of the gun sites.
As Art says, Road Show 'appraisers' throw that bone out there to put a smile on the owners face, which irks the hell out of my wife, who retired after 50 years in Commercial insurance. It borders on fraud unless independent, actual appraisals support the higher value, which begs the question, why give it a lower value if the higher value is real?
