Interesting question - The total number is skewed higher based on the great number of lower grade guns - ie. 117,000 grade 0 V .. vs .. 1,800 CH - do people assume that the VH guns were used harder as tools and CH guns were more prized possessions and possibly stored, maintained, passed down more carefully? Possibly then it is easier to find a near perfect CH or BH than a VH because of the usage level . Of course with so many VH there have to be some around that were purchased and forgotten about for a good long time.
lots of guns coming to marker statistically have to be heavily used VH /Trojan probably bad for pricing on those. And a few gems will pop up and surprise people
the knowledge on this site will be critical to help people determine if they have a very nice original gun .. or to their surprise ..a not so desireable (to a collector) mash up of old parts.
