Hmmmm....

When I sent you the email earlier today, Bruce - I really didn't expect my weekend would make it here - but I don't mind. As Bruce knows, as a few others do as well I just simply do what I do... For that, we and our folks brought a lot of smiles into 50+ kids world. It was for a moment in time. A blink of an eye. But to them, it was a lifetime. One young woman had her 16th birthday that day. It was - and is - given her diagnosis - a milestone. I told her next year, I'd be honored to teach her how to drive in my Porsche - and she can drive that lap. With that, I got the biggest hug you'd ever seen. Maybe I had a little tear in my eye while that youngster gave me the biggest hug I've ever been given, as it came from her heart... I'll make good on my promise. I know she will as well which was hers to just show up.

Such is life.

As for Bruce. Bruce and I fight sometimes like "cats and dogs". Many times - about really stupid stuff given the context of this thread and this post. But truth be known? Bruce is too - one of those amazing people he posted about above. He is just too damned proud to tell you. So I will...

Bruce pedals his way across some state to raise money for a wonderful cause...

You see - in my world, or all we do - nothing really matters except what we leave for others. The kids. Those in need.

Our legacy is ours to create. Or our legacy won't exist.

So, yea - I had a busy weekend. I, along with a bunch of folks who stepped up when I asked - put smiles, but for a brief moment in time - on a lot of kids faces.

Bruce, while you and I fight in private. I respect all you do as well.

Maybe this is a little glimpse into my private world as well...? Which is why we do all we do in Haiti as well... You see, when I say "lets get it done", we just get it done...

It really is that simple.

It really is that easy.

Or that difficult.

Bruce, simply...

Thank you.

John
