I know nothing about the pressures for the OP's question. But I had been shooting the 16-gauge Remington Game Loads for a number of years that had the load given as 2 3/4 drams equiv. 1-ounce and they seemed just fine in a number of guns. Then I bought two flats where they had changed the load listing to 1200 fps, 1-ounce and they were downright brutal. Even in my, quite heavy for a 16-gauge, Remington Sportsman they were harsh. The 1 1/8-ounce Remington Express loads are more pleasant to shoot. I know this is totally subjective but just relating my experience.

Since then, I've bought Federals, but mostly I shoot my 7/8-ounce, 1200 fps reloads in Federal hulls and 1-ounce, 1200 fps reloads in compression formed Winchester/Western Upland or Dove & Quail hulls.
