The secret is....pay someone who knows what he is doing
I posted pics (or to tell the truth somebody did it for me) of a GH 16 0 frame Dam (sound familiar John?) on a thread called the Money Pit. The same guy did both stocks. For me here's the real upside...A) An excellent job, B) turn around time less than a month, C) cost to strip and refinish the wood and recut the checkering $250. IMHO a real bargin.
