About three or four years ago while in Dave Trevallion’s vasement workshop I spied a looong barreled, straight grip Parker with Damascus barrels. It was a gun he had done some work on but the owner hadn’t paid him and there had sat for the duration.
It was a 32” GHE in exceptionally nice condition. I offered, on the basis of ‘mechanic’s lein’ to buy the gun but he said he couldn’t sell it to me as he didn’t need to end up in litigation but he would reach out to the owner yet again. The owner would not allow Dave to sell it and would send Dave a check.
Turns out that Dave had to wait another year to be paid and he fibally sent the gun back to the owner… (who had actually forgotten he had ever sent the gun to Dave in the first place).

Funny business this ‘gun repair’ stuff.
