Steve: The value of any gun to me is in its enjoyment. I have a family gun that dollar wise is maybe 3 or 400 bucks. I decided to give it a complete disassembly and thorough cleaning. Fixed up some cracks in the stocks. Lubricated any friction points and reassembled. Test fired the laminate steel barrels using RST ammo and a 100 foot cord with large hay bales between me and the gun. That was for a just in case moment. That didn’t happen. So I took it out for a pheasant hunt. Missed my first and second shots. Third connected. I find hammer guns a bit of a challenge with pheasants but a whole lot of fun. Therein is my assessment of value to me for a wall hanger turned upland bird gun after safety was assured.
