Default New member looking for thoughts on his parker

Just joined today. I've had this gun for a long time (my grandfather's gun, handed down to Dad and then to me a little more than 25 years ago).

I have some pictures I took a few years ago at http://gregwells.com/images/parkerbros/

Using the pages on identification on this site, the info I have is:

20 ga
SN: 132981
According the the SN list on this site, manufactured in 1905
Frame size 0H
Barrel weight: 34
Vulcan steel
Grade 0 V

An old, old appraisal from when I first got the gun (maybe 1984) was at $1500. I have no idea what it would be worth now.

I've always known this is a nice gun and have enjoyed shooting it when I have the opportunity. To me the value is at more in the personal history than the sale value, but I admit to being curious (both for insurance purpose and just general curiosity) as to the real $$ value.

I plan on sending in the info to see if I can get a letter for it, but I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts on the gun. My uncle has commented that "I lost" the bead on the barrel. I never had one, but I'm wondering if there's anything in particular I should look at for replacement.

Thanks in advance and "hi."
