My most outrageous double was also accomplished with an L.C. Smith, an OE grade 32" favorite. I was on the Potomac, a dark early morning, when two buffies crossed the river at Seneca Creek. I fired the right barrel at about 60 yards and both ducks plopped into the water. End of story is that it took me most of the rest of a box of shells to bring them to bag. The lesson was "Don't shoot at Buffleheads until the sun comes up."
