Greetings from Romania! Reading about the upcoming VGC has me a bit homesick. My family and I have relocated to Romania for two years. My lovely wife is originally from Moldova and while living in Alabama, we connected with a ministry doing great work with orphans in Moldova. The organization is Roads of Hope,
www.roadsofhope.org. Amazing team of accomplished professionals from various backgrounds from academia to professional sports to work with. We are now living in the beautiful Transylvania region, assisting a church here, and traveling to Moldova to assist the ministry in helping those great kids and the many Ukrainian refugees there. It’s quite a privilege and a great adventure for our family. Sadly, Romania has very strict firearms laws and I was unable to bring my double guns, or any guns, with me. But I did bring a PGCA sticker and our wild and lovable GSP! While there aren’t any clays courses, Transylvania does have very good hunting, which an outfitter can arrange, along with a rental shotgun or rifle. Hopefully soon, “Kreigy” and I will be out chasing quail and pheasant, and later this season, I can do some big game hunting. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of days spent at the Southern or VGC. I can almost smell the burnt powder and cigar smoke. Have a blast and hopefully see everyone in a couple years out breaking clays!
