The mail finally crossed the Mississippi! I am really enjoying this issue. As Gary pointed out, Phil's article hits home with many of us (even if we've hunted our entire lives). And there's enough joy and promise in that photo of Mill's son and pup to spread to my rainy Missouri day as I sit in the studio and ponder things. ...And, many thanks to Mike and Sammy for their good work and assistance. Sammy (I hope it's okay that I call you that even never having met you), thanks also for expanding my vocabulary by letting me know the multiple meanings of "popple" -- who knew?!

Now I'm going to see if I can find anything more (thanks, John!) about W. Leffingwell's possible connection to Dean's little Parker...
