Bruce, the 2 3/4 dram, 7/8 ounce 20 gauge load that is not recommended and is not loaded by the loading companies is a bunch of bunk. My old 32" 20 from that era (1915) was ordered to shoot 3 dram, 1 ounce loads and Parker Brothers honored the order and built the gun.
