A lot of it has to do with the stock dimensions . I’ve got two 8 gauge hammer guns both 36” . The first I got has some drop but not bad I can shoot it okay , the second and older one has a stock like the proverbial dogs hind leg and weighs perhaps two pounds more . That things a PITA to shoot .
