Wow! I can't believe I was outed by my best buddy. Thanks a lot Doc.

Well, all kidding aside, I did used to burn up a lot of powder. 10 cases was just slightly more than a 1 months supply. I'm guessing that I used to shoot over 25k rounds per year, but I have learned that throwing a lot of lead does not necessarily make you a good shooter. It does give you some experience to call on. If you want to shoot well, take some lessons from a good instructor that will work with you to develop a reliable technique. Strive for a sharp focus, a quiet mind and a smooth swing. Concentrate on the easy targets as intently as the hard ones. Shoot with other good shooters (here's where my pal Doc Truitt comes in) who can point out what you are doing wrong. A good coach can see what you can't. So nowadays I'm shooting less that 10k/year and better than ever, thanks to a little help from my friends.
