Doc: It looks like you inherited a very nice Parker VH Grade 12 gauge hammerless non-ejector gun with capped pistol grip stock and 28 inch barrels that should be marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS MERIDAN , CT U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL" on the top rib. (All this according to the serialization book) You gun was made in 1926. You should join the PGCA ($40.00) and order a letter ($40.00) That may tell you to whom the gun was originally shipped to. Your gun appears to be in very nice original condition with a lot of case colour showing on the watertable & barrel flats. It is also marked as having three inch chambers. Value wise it would be in the $1,500 - $2,500 range IMHO.
