I have a 12 gauge VH that first went to Lefever in about 1973 for stock finishing and a Silver pad, then to many gunsmiths over the next 40 years for floorplate repair, screw replacement, ivory beads and other incidentals. It went to Thierry Duguet for reengraving about fifteen years ago. About five years ago, it went to Doug Turnbull for the finishing touches, reengraving of the serial number and case color. It is now finished and I am finally satisfied. I may still go for a leather cover on the pad. I just found a perfect piece of black leather and have to use it somewhere. I just wish I had taken "before" pictures.
