Regarding ‘dress of the evening for our ‘PGCA Annual Banquet and Awards Night’ as I recall, those officers of the PGCA and the members of the BOD and others responsible for the events of the evening have traditionally worn business casual at the least and jacket and tie at best while the ladies have typically worn business casual from slacks to dresses or skirts. They’ve done a lot to put these events on for all of us and respect the organization and the members enough to dress appropriately. I for one, out of respect for all of them and for the membership, will also wear a shirt and tie and will at least show up in a sport jacket which I may remove as the evening progresses.
But that’s just me - YMMV
