Just to add some spice!
My pick would be a Parker Reproduction in 28ga. Yea I know they don't have the Meriden provenance, but their roots are firmly planted there.
The prices for them have gone up recently but when you compare them with an original PB 28ga DHE they are still one heck of a good bang for the buck for what you're getting!
