Glenn Baker
I found a copy of the Shooting Times & Country Magazine in the 1980’s thus fueling my interest in SXS shotguns. As a result contacted Glenn Baker about importing a William Ford 10b (which I still have) for waterfowling. Quickly became friends. I learned to trust his judgment on British guns of interest. Visited for a try gun fitting in the summer of 1992. He has imported several more SXS for me.
Sometimes when I called, Christa would answer and I always enjoyed her conversations.
After e-mailing a question about a waterfowling shotgun I had recently purchased from Glenn,
Christa sent me an e-mail on Sept 2 telling me that “Glenn recently passed away very peacefully in his sleep. We were going on a hunting trip the next day! I thank God that he went peacefully and without any suffering. He was feeling well we had no clue. Yesterday would have been his 80th birthday!”
I will miss him and his humor.
