He was behind a little brush pile, I could only see the very top edge of him so that's what I shot for. He flipped over backwards, kicked twice, and there he laid dead as a wedge. What's wild is the bullet actually hit nothing vital, didn't even knick the spine, though it passed real real close to it obviously. It was literally the shock of that thumping old school chunk of lead passing through his body that killed him. I'd forgotten how hard a .35 hits, I'd not fired it in 20 or more years.
