If you want a vintage gun, a Stevens/Savage/Ranger/etc… or a Nitro Special/Western Arms long range would be the most reliable and serviceable options. Economy offerings like crescents are just not worth taking the chance on unless they are in very good shape.

I am sure you want a double, but what about a single shot? Or even the stevens/savage 24? .410 over .22 cal.
