So for all you 24 haters here is what is possible. Full checkering on the beavertail forend as well as fine checkering on the slimmed down stock. Also a solid red Winchester branded recoil pad as well as a grip cap. It makes a fine double with its 30" IC and Full barrels. So is a 24 two Model 37s put together or an overweight 21? Anyway, it came out nicely. It is absolutely the tightest locking gun I have due to the mass of the frame. Takes two men to close it. The ugly duck turned into an ugly swan.
