Default South Georgia Dove Hunt

I again had the privilege to of dove hunting with John Davis and his family at his father in law’s farm. Before the hunt introductions were made all around and adventure and hunting stories were shared. We had a buffet style lunch featuring BBQ, Cole slaw, pickles and brownies. Finally around 3 o’clock it was time to head to the hunting ground which had been in preparation for this event for several months. John was using his Wesley Richards Parker and I was using my new to me “Hollywood” Parker. John’s 15 year old nephew, Lewis, was carrying his 16 gauge Trojan which he is in love with and can shoot it lights out. John and Lewis were in a hot corner and accounted for 26 of the birds ww brought back. The weather was a chilly 88 degrees under a cloudless sky. Pictured is Lewis with his Parker and the results of the day’s efforts.
