That particular Trojan was essentially worn out in less then a decade from lack of care and heavy use, having shot tens of thousands birds for market before the treaty (and some after). Having never been cleaned or oiled it was in tough shape. During the Great Depression the son of the original owner burned the stock and forend to help heat the family home. Years later the orginal owners grand daughter found the barrels and receiver and they were donated to a scrap metal drive during the latter part of WWII. Ironically its metal parts were melted down and used in the assembly of the Fatman nuclear bomb and ended the war.
