Default 2021 Grand American

So I have returned home from the 2021 Grand American and what was, for me, a very successful tournament.

Here are a few personal statistics.

During this Grand American, I shot to two guns exclusively.

1) Parker SA, SBT, serial no. 235793. Straight stock, 32 inch barrel choked “Full” according to the original hang tag.
2) Parker GHE, serial no. 230740. Pistol grip, vent rib, beaver tail forearm, double triggers, 30 inch barrels choked .020/.030.

Classification for this tournament:
1) Singles – AA
2) Handicap – 22 yard line
3) Doubles - D

Over the course of five days I shot in 7 events and at 820 targets, which included 20 shoot off targets. I shot no practice rounds (didn’t want to waste any hits).

I had a total score of 766x820.

Break down by event:

1) Preliminary Doubles – 89x100
2) Champion of Champions (singles) – 99x100
3) Preliminary Doubles – 94x100
4) Singles Championship – 197x200
5) Doubles Championship – 97x100, followed by a shoot off – 19x20
6) Preliminary Handicap – 84x100
7) Handicap Championship – 87x100

Break down by discipline:

1) Singles – 296x300
2) Doubles – 299x320 (includes the 20 shoot off targets)
3) Handicap – 171x200

Awards: ATA World Doubles Class D Champion.

During the course of the tournament, I had four 25 straights (two of which were in Handicap) and three 50 straights. And I had a personal best long run of 146 straight, registered, singles targets. This run comprised the last 74 targets in the Champion of Champions on Wednesday, followed by the first 72 targets in the Singles Championship of Thursday.
