Default Life in the northland

I know you guys like Alaska pics... not sure why.... This is where I'm working for a bit this summer, until I bail to go shoot birds with Trigg and Bob Brown that is. It's the Kilbuck Mtns and not too far from Rich Andersons beloved Taylor Mtns. These are from todays walkabout. We had a sow and 3 cubs come to watch us sample a trench. A few rocks tossed her way sent them packing to our favorite blueberry patch. Never seen so many bears anywhere as here. We have 2-3 right in camp some days. Good thing we have a dog the size of a horse to keep them away most of the time. We got most of the way up here on 4wheelers... I feel like a very fortunate fellow today in that I can still walk ridges like this.
