I've got to admit that's a strange looking ramp.

The 1923 Parker catalog was the first to offer the ventilated rib as an option so I think it is safe to say yours might just be an early 1922 prototype and that may be why the ramp doesn't look like most early ones we're used to seeing.

I recall reading a letter referencing one Parker sent to Lefever(?) to have a vent rib installed just as an informational experiment.
