Bob, I am glad you are taking no offence to the discussion. I too have a two barrel 28 gauge set and the 26" barrels do sit most of the time in the safe.
Just from an economic point of view aren't you going to take a hit when it comes time to sell the gun. On the other hand if you get $1,900 for the barrels and case it might be a wash.
