I've recorded this marking on 216976 --

But no such marking on 217036 --

From my observations the lowest serial number I've recorded with the PARKER BROS. OVERLOAD PROVED stamp on its original barrels is 219511 --

However, this could be a gun that languished in inventory as it has what appears to be a Remington date code of BD (B = January, D = 1935
)?!?
